"Wild Irish Rose"
This is our 2008 Raffle
Quilt. It will be displayed at the Senior Citizens Center in
Oak Island, North Carolina. It's raffled off at the
fall festival in Oak Island. Many of our members participated
in making the quilt. The machine quilting was done by Marcie
Mullen.
Purpose
It is the purpose and goal of the Guild to promote
and perpetuate the art of quilting. The work of the Guild is
designed to benefit and educate all persons interested in
preserving, continuing and advancing this art. The Guild
shall encourage a high standard of design and technique in all
forms of quilting.
Generally, the first Wednesday is the
business meeting. We often go out to lunch after this
meeting. The second Wednesday is usually a class or
workshop. These usually last the whole day so we brown bag
it. The third Wednesday is Charity Workshop. We also
brown bag it on this day.
The last Wednesday is open sewing. Members bring their own
projects to work on and/or share their talents with each other.
